Handspun mallorcan sheep wool. The wool has been hand washed with natural soap. Then carded with an electric drum carder and spun with a spinningwheel. After that the yarns have been soaked and dryed. This is an exclusive selection of roja mallorcan wool.
The irregularity of the thickness makes these yarns unique pieces for crochet projects, two needles or loom.
The creation of all yarns is a slow process that cannot be rushed.
All skeins are the result of processing raw fleeces. They are brushed to remove all dirt. Then washed several times so that the fibers are clean and smooth. Carding is done very carefully so as to remove the last traces of waste.
Yarn spinning is the final process. During this phase the thickness that will be thread is chosen. Sometimes it is smooth and fine, others thick and irregular. All production is done in Mallorca (Spain), working on a little farm using recycled materials to build tools and equipment. Mu yarns is an ethical and sustainable project. The entire process is respectful with the enviroment.
